About EmTech

Technology Review's annual EmTech is the premier conference focused on emerging technologies and their impact. Each year, this unique event brings together key players from the technology, engineering, academic and management communities to discuss the technological innovations that are changing the face of business and driving the global economy.

EmTech is a place where technology, business, and culture converge. It is a showcase for emerging technologies with the greatest potential for commercial impact. It is an access point to the most innovative people and companies from around the world. Most of all, it is a place of inspiration: a place to glimpse the future of technology and begin to understand how it is going to impact the world and your business.

TR35 at EmTech MIT

TR35 Our annual selection of the world's top innovators under the age of 35.

Meet the 2012 Global TR35, the top innovators under the age of 35. The TR35 awards span a wide range of fields, including biotechnology, materials, computer hardware, energy, transportation, communications, and the Web. Our goal is to recognize the development of new technology or the creative application of existing technologies to solve problems. We also reward ingenious and elegant work that matters to the world at large. Past members include Microsoft's Danah Boyd, Google's Sergey Brin, and Tesla's JB Straubel.

The 2012 TR35 will present their work onstage at EmTech MIT and will also be honored during a dedicated awards ceremony and evening reception on October 25, 2012.
